Disasters Don’t Wait. Make Your Plan Today. Become prepared with family and friends this September in honor of National Preparedness Month.

By taking small steps like making and practicing a plan, building a kit, learning about the risks in your area and teaching youth about preparedness, YOU can help your community be ready.

This September, National Preparedness Month (NPM) will focus on preparing, with an overarching theme “Disasters Don’t Wait. Make Your Plan Today.”

We should all learn life saving skills! We are all able to help first responders in our community by training how to respond during an emergency and what to do when disaster strikes — where we live, work, and visit.

2020 National Preparedness Month Survey

In honor of National Preparedness Month (NPM), the City of San Mateo, Foster City, and Belmont would like to know what type of personal preparedness steps you and your family have taken, and to know what kind of hazards you are concerned about. We know you’re busy so we’ve kept the survey to just 11 questions and we’re entering survey participants into a drawing for a personal emergency preparedness kit valued at $60!

Complete the survey!
